HANIA RANI SIGNS TO WISE MUSIC GROUP

Hania Rani has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Bosworth Music GmbH, part of Wise Music Group. Rights include the complete back catalogue including the albums Home and Esja as well as all upcoming works.

Hania Rani comments: “I feel extremely happy and excited about joining the publishing family of Wise Music. It’s an honor to see my name amongst so many great artists, whose musical ideas I have observed and admired for years. I’m also proud to be contributing as a female composer from Poland, following the steps of great masters of classical music like Penderecki or Lutoslawski. About Hania Rani
Hania Rani is a Polish pianist and composer – internationally acclaimed for combining musical styles and genres such as classical music, electronica, jazz and elements of pop.

Her recent album Home was released in May 2020 and follows the success of her debut album Esja. Hania says about Home: “I feel like Home is a second part of the same book, that the start was in Esja, a musical prelude to a real plot. Home is a story with an ending, so the next book can tell a totally different one. I am constantly looking for new ways of expression. I am curious where Home will lead me and my music.”
Hania Rani’s solo debut album Esja (2019) was nominated in 5 categories in the Polish music industries very own Grammys, the Fryderyki. In addition, Hania was also awarded the Discovery of the Year 2019 in the Empik chain’s Bestseller Awards and the prestigious Sanki award for the most interesting new face of Polish music chosen by Polish journalists. In 2020 Rani was nominated in two categories at the AIM Independent Music Awards – for Best Creative Packaging for her Esja sheet music book and for International Breakthrough.

Rani has composed the music for her first full length movie “I Never Cry” directed by Piotr Domalewski, which won the prize for Best Film Soundtrack at Festiwal Filmów Fabularnych w Gdyni. She has also written music for the short movie “Waiting” by Jan P. Matuszyński. Her song Eden was used as a soundtrack of a short movie by Małgorzata Szumowska for Miu Miu’s movie cycle Women’s Tales. Rani is involved in various other media projects and her music appears in films, series, and theatre pieces.
